The history of our institution begins in 1932, then opened a school in which trained carpenters, locksmiths and blacksmiths. Of course, it was only the beginning, gradually increased the teaching staff, a new specialty began to produce operators, train builders, which are needed by our people.

In those years, the desire for knowledge was widespread, everyone wanted to benefit the country. Thanks to the help of many teachers received a quality education and made an enormous contribution to the development of our country.

Since 2008 and till today the school is called the 'Almaty state College of transport and communications' and has its own academic building which includes a gym, library, ballroom, dining room, infirmary and workshops. For our students there are two hostels with a total area of 3 square kilometers and the total number of places for 340 people.

The College has fifteen offices for carrying out public items include computers and media equipment, thirty-four laboratories for private subjects, are also equipped with the latest technology and five full computer labs for carrying out tests, examinations and certain occupations.

Sports hall with an area of half a mile square has all the necessary equipment for training students at the gym working ten different sections. There is a large auditorium with two hundred and fifty seats, a dining room for a hundred and twenty places.

To get started, students can visit the library and two reading rooms, which are equipped with ten computers. Educational practices are held in special workshops with a total area of 400 square meters.

We have students on the following specialties: Electricity, maintenance and repair of rolling stock, Organization of transportations and traffic control on railway Automation, telemechanics and traffic control on railway transport, road Construction and track facilities.
