In 1954 was founded the evening College on the basis of the phosphate plant, the school trained 145 people. Today the total area of the College is 12 square kilometers, has a large laboratory building at 960 training places, a dormitory for 120 seats, a library with 70 reading places, two sports halls, auditorium multimedia digital podium, and lots of shops.

Staffing the staff we have is quite extensive — there are 270 employees, including many teachers with higher and first category, some with advanced degrees, and four excellent education.

Training is conducted on the specialties 'Jurisprudence', 'Decorative arts', 'Architecture', 'Accounting and Audit', 'Underground development of mineral deposits', 'Technology of polymer production, Chemical technology and production', 'mechanical processing, control and measuring instruments and automation', 'Operation of machinery and equipment industry', 'automation and control', 'Planning'.

Zhambyl Politechnical College, Taraz included in the TOP 10 colleges of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, at present, the College is a member of the project of the chamber of entrepreneurs of Germany. Now a student of 2600 people, of which 1600 according to the state order and at the expense of employers enrolled 25 people.

For admission to the school must pass a comprehensive test of the applicant on a General basis, when entering after eleventh grade, a certificate of UNT is not required.
