eGov.kz launches a service for digitizing educational documents

A new feature has appeared on the eGov.kz portal that will certainly interest Kazakhstanis. Now users can not only correct errors in the information about their diplomas, but also request their digital version. Convenient, isn't it? The main condition is the availability of a scanned copy of the original document issued earlier.
The service itself is officially called "Updating (correcting) information about educational documents." It has been updated and now includes the function of submitting an application for digitizing diplomas. Previously, this service was limited to correcting errors in data. Now users have received a real tool for converting their documents into digital format. This is an important step, especially in an era when almost all services are moving online.
To use the updated service, simply log in to eGov.kz, go to the "Education" section and select the desired service. It is important to note that you must correctly indicate the type of application, select the document category and attach its scan. The finished result can be found in your personal account, in the "History of receiving services" section. Moreover, it takes only five working days, which is quite fast.
Interestingly, digitalization so far applies to diplomas of secondary, technical and vocational education issued between 1980 and 2023. It is planned that in the future, the list of covered documents will be expanded. However, it is important to know: if the provided data turns out to be inaccurate, the service may be denied.
This functionality became a reality thanks to the joint work of several government agencies: the State Services Committee of the Ministry of Digital Development, National Information Technologies JSC, the Ministry of Education and the National Center for Research and Evaluation of Education "Taldau". Such a large-scale approach to implementation speaks of the seriousness of intentions and the high level of interaction between departments.
By the way, according to statistics, over the past year alone, more than a million Kazakhstanis used the services of eGov.kz. Convenience, time savings and transparency of processes make this portal one of the most popular among citizens. The new function will certainly strengthen its position, because the digitalization of diplomas is not just a convenience, but a real necessity in the modern world.
