Kazakhstan launches a large-scale project to train one million people in artificial intelligence technologies

Kazakhstan's Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations, and Aerospace Industry has launched a major project aimed at training one million people in artificial intelligence technologies. During a government meeting, ministry representatives outlined plans for the five-year initiative, targeting a wide range of the population.

The program aims to train 500,000 schoolchildren, 300,000 university students, 90,000 civil servants, 80,000 entrepreneurs, and another 30,000 people from various professions. According to the ministry, this approach will integrate AI technologies into various sectors, ensuring the country remains competitive on the global stage.

Special attention is being given to the younger generation. Educational programs have already been launched for schoolchildren at the TUMO Creative Technologies Center. The first AI school, TomorrowSchool, has also opened, preparing specialists who will implement AI solutions in the real economy. These initiatives lay the foundation for the development of IT skills among the youth, which is crucial given the growing demand for technology professionals.

In addition, the initiative is aimed at training adults. Civil servants will learn AI technologies to improve the efficiency of government institutions, while entrepreneurs will gain knowledge to automate business processes and adapt to modern challenges.

The ministry is focused on creating an educational ecosystem that will be accessible to all. The training courses will be tailored to different levels of expertise, from basic understanding to professional use. This will not only simplify access to knowledge but also help identify promising talents who could become future leaders of the digital transformation.

These efforts are intended to strengthen Kazakhstan’s human capital and create conditions for the development of the IT sector. The ministry emphasizes that AI initiatives will drive change in both the economy and society. The development of these technologies opens new opportunities for modernizing traditional industries and creating new sectors.

All of this underscores Kazakhstan's commitment to keeping pace with global trends and taking a leading position in the field of digital technologies. One million people trained in AI will form the foundation for the country’s innovative leap, essential in an era of rapid technological progress.
