Kazakh national Academy of arts named after T. K. Zhurgenov

Kazakh national Academy of arts named after T. K. Zhurgenov is the major educational institution for multidisciplinary plan of study is a recognised centre for the training of creative personalities, graduates of our University are the basis of the Golden Fund of world and art of the country.

The University was founded in 1955 when, at another University opened the theater Department. 22 years later on, it established our University, who at the time was called 'Almaty state theatre and art Institute (AGDI). Rector of the Institute at that time was Janybaeva, which was one of the main figures of Russian science and culture.

A significant milestone in the history of the Academy was the opening of the art Department, which produced the first set of students in 1979. At the root of the faculty were well-known artists and representatives of art: K. Telzhanov, M. Kenbai, K. Shayakhmetov, E. Mergenov, T. Dosmagambetov, E. Serkebaev, T. Karibzhanov, M. Jakovljev, K. Tynybekov, M. Kalimov, B. Umorbekov, D. suleev, K. Ospanov. This period of formation of the Institute was held under the leadership of the rector, doctor of historical Sciences, Professor S. Digenova (1985-1987), imparted scientific sleek style and the high theoretical level of teaching.

January 28, 1989, the Council of Ministers of Kazakh SSR adopted a Resolution on the appropriation of the Almaty state theatre and art Institute named Temirbek Guards Zhurgenov, people's Commissar of education in Kazakhstan, who made a huge contribution to the development of culture and art.

In 1979 was opened the art Department, and there was the first set of students. The founders of the faculty had such figures as K. Telzhanov, M. Kenbai, K. Shayakhmetov, E. Mergenov, T. Dosmagambetov, E. Serkebaev, T. Karibzhanov, M. Jakovljev, K. Tynybekov, M. Kalimov, B. Umorbekov, D. suleev, K. Ospanov. At this time the rector was none other than Professor Gorunov, who created the scientific style and high level in teaching.

Over the years AGTHE laid the Foundation of professional education in the field of theatrical and visual arts, opened new faculties and departments, developed a wonderful tradition in the education of the creative intelligentsia of Kazakhstan. From 1987 to 1989 rector AGTHE was A. Kulbaev. From 1989 to 1991 the rector was honoured art worker of Kazakhstan, laureate of the State prize of RK, Professor A. Sygai. In 1991 on the basis of AGTHE was formed two specialized schools: Kazakh state Institute of theater and film them. After T. K. Zhurgenov, the rector, people's artist of Kazakhstan, Professor E. Obaev, later people's artist of RK, Professor T. Temenov and the Kazakh State Art Academy, rector — candidate of pedagogical Sciences, Professor U. Ibragimov. Institute of theatre and film them. Zhurgenov was a seamless alloy of the educational concept of the school of Kazakhstan, preparing national cadres of cinematography and the national theatre school with their tradition of professional training of actors and Directors theatre. Orazbayev, I. Abaev, M. Biserrula, V. Pusurmanov, A. Sygai, G. Aspetova, T. Zhamankulov, D. Zholzhaksynov, T. Meyramov, R. Rymbaeva, B. Atabayev, K. Sultanbaev, K. Tastanbekov, T. Temenov, M. Otakarova, G. Kazakbaev and many others.

In accordance with the Decree of the government of the Republic of Kazakhstan № 236 dated 14 February 2000 on the basis of former Kazakh state Institute of theater and cinema and the Kazakh state art Academy was created the Kazakh state Academy of arts. After T. K. Zhurgenov, where the rector was the doctor of pedagogical Sciences, Professor T. A. Kishkashbayev. According to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan № 648 dated July 5, 2001 'On granting special status to certain public higher education institutions', the Academy was given special status 'of the Kazakh national Academy of arts named after T. K. Zhurgenov'.

In 2008 the decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Rector of Kazakh national Academy of arts. After T. K. Zhurgenov appointed the honored artist of RK, doctor of philosophy (PhD) arystanbek Mukhamediuly. Targeted work A. Mukhamediuly as Rector of Kazakh national Academy of arts im. After T. K. Zhurgenov contributed to the transition of the Academy from traditional to modern credit technology of training.

On his initiative and direct participation of more than 30 years in the Academy for the first time since 2009, to act as the Dissertation Council for defending theses in the field of art. The result of the hard work was the passing Academy in 2010 International accreditation.

In 2009, the first in Kazakhstan opened a Doctorate (PhD) 7 artistic professions. Thanks to a deep study of modern international experience in training specialists of art at the Academy opened scientifically-the practical centre of postgraduate education, research creative laboratory and other structural subdivisions of the Academy.

A. Mukhamediuly uses a deserved authority not only in the Academy but also far beyond its borders. He is a member of the jury of International competitions and festivals, and actively participates in international scientific conferences. A. Mukhamediuly known in the country and abroad as the author of scripts and Director of international festivals and competitions held under the auspices of UNESCO, SCO and other organizations. Is one of the founders and artistic Director of the public experimental theatre 'Theatre of Nations', where involved actors of various nationalities, promoting the friendship of peoples. In 2014, the decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan appointed Minister of culture and sports of Kazakhstan.
