Kazakh national medical University named after Asfendiyarov

Kazakh national medical University named after Asfendiyarov was founded the 10th of July 1930, in accordance with decision of SNK of the RSFSR. The first order for the first 100 students came out in 1931. The University got its name in honor of the first Director of Djaparovich Sanzhar Asfendiyarov, who graduated from the military medical Academy in St. Petersburg in 1912. The teaching staff in the 31 year of the 20th century had only 5 teachers, 4 assistant professors and 13 assistants.

Experience shows that the Museum of History of University provides many opportunities for the development of spirituality and ideological and Patriotic education. For the year, the Museum welcomes about 3,500 students. In 2011 the Museum was visited by the visitors of the delegation and scientists from UK, Germany, Korea, Russia, Tajikistan and Moldova.

A year after the Foundation of the Institute was opened by the Union, which operates successfully until today. The Council of Elders of the University is a collegial Advisory body operating on a voluntary basis.The Council of Elders of the University, is created for the consideration of the most complex issues and disputes arising in the course of the activities of the University and its governing bodies, as well as current issues relating to educational, scientific, clinical and social activities of the University.

The Council of Elders is guided by the current legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Charter of the University internal organizational and administrative documents of the University and these regulations.

Tasks of the Council of Elders are:

— development of recommendations and proposals for the implementation of the University's mission, the realization of its statutory goals and tasks;

— participation in informing the public about the main directions of activities of the University;

— reporting to the University Rector about the most urgent problems requiring the attention of the University and its governing bodies;

— executing orders of the rector of the University;

— consideration of proposals, projects, ideas, on which the rector wishes to know the opinion of the Council of Elders;

— The Council of Elders may, at their own initiative to consider the most important issues of the life of the University and make proposals to the University administration
