International students exchange programs

The Au Pair

This program helps students of Almaty to plunge into the realities of another continent – namely, to live in a foreign family, to attend vocational school and help to care for children. Ie to be a foreign nanny for a foreign child.

Requirements Au Pair

• Excellent knowledge of English;
• secondary education;
• age between 18 — 26 years;
• medical certificate confirming a condition fit for work;
• interview in English that will be provided by the host family;
• certificate of good conduct;
• experience with children from 2 years;
• at least two recommendations;
• driving license;
• the absence of bad habits.

Instead, you get life with an American family for a whole year and, with the consent of the family in which you live, extend your stay until another year! Au Pair looks after the host family's children, but not more than 45 hours per week and a maximum of 10 hours per day;

Secondary School Student Program

The program is for those who want to obtain secondary education in the United States in the private or public type of College course of living in a family of foreign citizens. For obtaining the permit, you must be aged 15 to 18 years, having incomplete secondary education, not to participate in programs previously. Well, the pros of this program is the participation in different school activities, programs, and homestay or dormitory.

Additional information: Students are unable to work, however, they can take a one-time job, for example, work in the garden or with children. The participants do not have the right to live with relatives.

Summer Work & Travel is one of the most famous and popular programs for students wishing to spend their summer in America. The student has the right to spend in the United States no more than 5 months, 4 of which work, and 1 month to travel. The main employment in the service sector, for example, at resorts, in hotels, in restaurants, shops, etc.

Basic requirements:

• Student full-time Department of a higher educational institution outside the United States, the student is NOT in the last year;
• Knowledge of the English language at a level sufficient for communication and life in the United States (Intermediate):
• Age at least 18 years old on the day of departure.

To participate in the program must contact the Agency to arrange trips with Work&Travel in the city. Participation in the program is paid, but the amount is very real for the student, besides, You will have the opportunity to earn in America. Program participants receive wages not below the minimum level of remuneration in the state - $7.25 per hour.

Program duration is determined by the time the summer holidays. The student himself determines the time of their stay in the United States. Travel to the U.S. is possible from 15 may to 15 July, the last day of stay in USA – 1 Oct.

Trainee Program - the internship program majoring in American companies aimed at obtaining relevant work experience and training.

Requirements:

• graduate with experience not less than 2 years;
• or specialist with experience from 5 years;

• age from 19 to 34 years.

The period of participation in the program is 18 months plus 30 days for travel (the exception is the tourism sector, with a maximum of 12 months). The minimum period is 6 months.
