East Kazakhstan state technical University named after Daulet Serikbayev in Ust-Kamenogorsk

Republican state enterprise "East Kazakhstan state technical University named after D. Serikbaev" MES conducts its educational activities since 1958 and provides training on a wide range of engineering, information technology, Economics, management, science, architecture and design bachelor's, master's, PhD students for the country's economy.

The school was founded in 1958 in accordance with the Decree of the USSR Council of Ministers dated 5 August No. 866 and the Council of Ministers of the Kazakh SSR dated 30 August No. 765 received the name of "Ust-Kamenogorsk building-road Institute" (EKSTU).

On may 7, 1996, by Decree of the government of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 573, UKSDI was reorganized into the East Kazakhstan technical University. At the request of the University, by Decree of the government of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 1485 dated 3.11.1997, it was named after the first rector Daulet Serikbayev.

In 1999, the University, the only one on East University, military Department opened on the basis of the decision of the government of RK No. 1319 dated 07.09.99. "On the establishment of the military Department at EKSTU", of the order of the Ministry of defense of Kazakhstan No. 155 04.10.99 "About implementation of decree of the Government of Kazakhstan", the order of the rector № 247 dated 29.10.99 "About opening of the military Department at EKSTU im. D. Serikbayev".

We have an excellent material base and qualified teachers. The educational institution has many classrooms for studying specialties, fully computerized classrooms. We train specialists for small and medium-sized businesses, have a perpetual license and teach students in two languages: Kazakh and Russian.
