Large-scale changes in education are planned for 2025

In 2025, a large-scale update of the education system is planned in Kazakhstan, which will affect several areas at once. According to the Ministry of Education, the coverage of children aged 2 to 6 years with preschool education will increase to an impressive 95%. This means that almost all children in the country will be able to receive high-quality education at an early stage.

In order to support families whose children do not attend kindergartens, the number of consultation centers will be significantly increased. There will be 4,245 of them throughout the country. Parents will be offered methodological assistance and advice on raising and developing children at home. In addition, as part of the renovation, it is planned to repair and re-equip 260 state preschool institutions. Also, about 500 thousand children will become participants in the "Tilge Boylau" program, where they will be immersed in the Kazakh language through specially developed methods. But that's not all: starting in the new year, a system of voucher financing for kindergartens will begin to operate, where the money will "follow the child".

Changes are also expected in school education. It is planned to open more than 272 thousand student places, which will reduce the burden on overcrowded classes. In addition, 90% of children with special educational needs will have access to professional help from psychologists and defectologists. Rural schools will not be ignored either - within the framework of the new project, 1,300 such educational institutions will be renovated.

School laboratories and classrooms will also be updated. Modern equipment for classes in chemistry, physics, biology and robotics will appear in 1,000 schools. This step is aimed at giving students not only theoretical knowledge, but also practical skills that will be in demand in the future.

In the college system, it is planned to increase the availability of free education for young people. All 9th grade graduates will be able to study in relevant specialties, and the target order with a guarantee of employment will increase to 10 thousand places. Also, the cost of the per capita standard will be doubled, and the material and technical base of 80 colleges will be updated by attracting investors. In addition, mini-enterprises will appear in 10 educational institutions, which will help students master real production processes. These initiatives are aimed at making the education system more accessible, high-quality and relevant to the challenges of the time.
