Aktobe University named after S. Baishev is one of the leading educational institutions in Western Kazakhstan. The University was established in August 1996 as the Aktobe branch of the Kazakh state Academy of management (license # 0000399). In 1997, the University was transformed into the West Kazakhstan Institute of Economics and Finance. In June 2001, it received the status of Aktobe University named after S. Baishev. Training of specialists began in 1996, and to this day the University is a leader in training highly qualified personnel in the field of Economics and management, Finance, information technology, Philology to meet the needs of the labor market. During the existence of the University, more than 4 thousand graduates have received professional diplomas, currently 4295 students are studying at the University named after S. Baishev.
