West Kazakhstan agricultural and technical University named after Zhangir Khan in Uralsk

The need for high-profile specialists appeared in the early 60s in the Ural region, and it was met only by 30%, and in other areas by 20%. Therefore, according to decree # 571, the West Kazakhstan agricultural Institute was opened. The training process started in three buildings and three faculties: agroeconomics, veterinary, and agricultural mechanization. Due to a shortage of teachers, the school was expanded to become a center for higher agricultural education. Already in the 60-70 years of the 20th century, the teaching staff was equipped with various educational institutions of the former Soviet Union. Well, today the educational institution is one of the largest in the country and the only state multidisciplinary University in the region, which provides human and scientific resources to the entire region and part of Kazakhstan.
