The history of the University begins with the mining and processing enterprise of the region. On June 30, 1954, it was decided to build the Rudny industrial Institute.more than 20 thousand young people from different parts of our country came to the large construction site in the city of Rudny. To create the necessary conditions for education, the management of the plant in may 1959 appealed to the Central Committee of the CPSU, with a request to organize an educational institution for training personnel at this plant. Thus, on June 25, 1959, the faculty of training metallurgists was opened in the city of Rudny on the basis of the Sokolov-Sarbay combine.
