Marine Military Institute at Aktau

The higher naval school of the Ministry of defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan was established in 2001 in accordance with the decree of the government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated March 1, 2001 No. 314 in Aktau on the basis of vocational school No. 2. By the decree Of the government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated July 10, 2003, it was transformed into the state institution "Naval Institute".

Graduates of the Institute are designed for service on ships and coastal parts of the naval forces and naval units of the Border service of KNB of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as for work on sea vessels, inland vessels and vessels of mixed (river-sea) navigation civil fleet of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
